Elizabeth Jamka

Sibener group

Background

Elizabeth Jamka joined the Sibener Group in December of 2022. She received her B.S. from Elmhurst University in 2015 and earned her PhD in Chemistry from Loyola University Chicago in 2022. While in graduate school her research focused on the investigation of carbon monoxide (CO) oxidation reaction pathways on Rh(111) via Reflection Absorption Infrared Spectroscopy (RAIRS) in an ultra-high vacuum (UHV) system. Since joining the Sibener lab her research has focused recently on investigating the sticking probabilities of isotopologues of Carbon Dioxide (CO\(_2\)) on thin films of various CO\(_2\) ices and the sticking probabilities of different butene isomers using in situ RAIRS and molecular beam techniques.
