Gardel Lab
Background
Ernest joined the James Franck Institute in May 2026 as a Yen Postdoctoral Fellow in the lab of Prof. Margaret Gardel. He earned his BSc and PhD at the University of Toronto, where his doctoral work in the Plotnikov lab uncovered a crosstalk between Ca2+-dependent and GTPase signaling pathways that controls cell migration. He is now combining microscopy and machine learning to study adhesion signaling and cytoskeleton regulation in cancer.
