Background
Rebecca joined Vincenzo Vitelli’s group as a Center for Living Systems Fellow at the James Franck Institute in August 2026. She studies the role of statistical physics and non-reciprocity in emergent self-organization, as in memory formation and dynamic self-assembly. She earned her B.A. in physics at Princeton University, studying applications of information theory under the mentorship of William Bialek, before receiving her Ph.D. in physics at Caltech under the supervision of Rob Phillips, modeling polymer assembly and gene regulatory dynamics.
