Nonreciprocal Ising Model

A snapshot of a Monte Carlo simulation of a non-reciprocal Ising model of two species in two dimensions. Shown here is a disordered phase with spiral defects in both the clockwise and anticlockwise directions. This disordered phase overtakes the swap phase in 2D as spiral defects emerge and proliferate, causing magnetization to go to zero.

Odd Turbulence

Two simulations of the Navier-Stokes equation showing turbulent fluids without odd viscosity (top left) and with odd viscosity (bottom right). Odd viscosity causes vortices of characteristic size to emerge, while fluids without odd viscosity form vortices of all sizes.
