Background
Dr. Saintyves is a research staff scientist in Prof. Heinrich Jaeger’s group (https://www.jaegerlab.com/). He received his PhD (2013) in physics at the Sorbonne University in Paris, France, and was a post-doctoral researcher at Harvard and MIT. He joined the JFI in 2019 to explore new resilient and autonomous robotic approaches based on the physics of soft and granular matter. Beside his research, he teaches physics at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and is involved in art and science outreach projects.
