Background

James Cassidy joined the James Frank Institute in October 2022 as a postdoc in the lab of Prof. Dmitri Talapin. He earned a MS in Chemistry at The College of William and Mary under the mentorship of Prof. Kristin Wustholz before continuing his education at Bowling Green State University, where he earned a PhD in Photochemical Sciences working in the lab of Prof. Mikhail Zamkov, focusing primarily on the synthesis of colloidal quantum shells to be utilized for optoelectronic applications. At UChicago, James will focus on the synthetic development of III-nitride quantum dots in the Talapin lab.
