Jeremy Moore

Murugan & Kuehn groups

Background

Jeremy Moore joined the JFI in August 2025 as a Center for Living Systems Postdoctoral Fellow co-advized by Prof. Seppe Kuehn and Prof. Arvind Murugan. He recieved his B.A. in molecular biology at Kenyon College where he investigated how bacteria evolve to resist pH stress. He recently recieved his Ph.D. In Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental biology from Yale University in the lab of Prof. Thierry Emonet, where he studied chemotactic signal processing and non-genetic phenotypic diversity. Now,  at U. Chicago, he is interested in understanding how spatial organization in bacterial communities affects emergent metabolic processes.
