Background
Nicolette Puskar joined the JFI in September 2025 as a postdoctoral scholar in the lab of Prof. Sarah King. She received her B.A. in Chemistry and B.A. in Vocal Performance at Lawrence University and Conservatory of Music, where she measured molecular diffusion dynamics in ionic liquids with fluorescence correlation spectroscopy under Prof. Allison Fleshman. Recently, she received her Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley where she explored the ultrafast quantum dynamics of atoms and small molecules using attosecond noncollinear four-wave mixing spectroscopy in the labs of Prof. Stephen Leone and Prof. Daniel Neumark. Now, as a member of the King Lab at the University of Chicago, she is interested in probing the ultrafast dynamics of chiral solvated electrons generated at the magnetic/aqueous interface to investigate the origins of biological homochirality.
