Vitelli group
Background
Sang Hyun Choi joined the JFI in September 2024 as a Center for Living Systems Postdoctoral Fellow in Vincenzo Vitelli's group. He received Ph.D. in physics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign under the supervision of Nigel Goldenfeld. During Ph.D., he studied the scaling behavior in the social network of honeybees and humans and the noise-driven odd elastic waves in chiral active matter. At the University of Chicago, he is currently interested in the phase transitions in non-reciprocal systems.
