Tadej Mežnaršič

Chin group

Background

Tadej Mežnaršič joined the James Franck Institute in May 2024 as a postdoctoral scholar in the laboratory of Prof. Cheng Chin. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from the University of Ljubljana, where he contributed to the development of the cesium cold atom laboratory under the mentorship of Dr. Peter Jeglič. He continued his doctoral studies at the University of Ljubljana and Jožef Stefan Institute, where he built a Bose-Einstein condensate experiment and investigated bright solitons and Bose fireworks in one-dimensional trap geometries. Now, as a member of Chin Lab at University of Chicago, he continues to investigate nonlinear quantum phenomena and quantum simulation with cold atoms and molecules.
