Xing Wu

DeMille Group

Background

Wu Xing joined as JFI a postdoctoral scholar in the DeMille group. He works in the ACME collaboration, using the platform of cold thorium monoxide molecules to make the world’s most precise measurement on the shape of electrons, shedding light on the fundamental physics at and beyond the LHC energy scale. Before joining JFI, Xing worked in the same collaboration at Yale and Harvard university. Xing received his Ph.D. from Technical University of Munich and Max-Planck-Institute of Quantum Optics, Germany, under the supervision of Gerhard Rempe, where he built a centrifuge decelerator to bring polyatomic molecules to standstill with spinning electrodes.
