M-STAR Center Awarded $1.8 Million by NSF for Phase 1

M-STAR is a phase I center focused on the study of MXene synthesis and tuning, led by professor Dmitri Talapin of the JFI and associate chair of the chemistry department John Anderson. The center is a multi-disciplinary collaboration including materials science researchers from Penn, Purdue, Drexel, and Vanderbilt. The center was recently awarded $1.8 million by the National Science Foundation to support phase I of its development, which began in September of 2023 and is planned to last 3 years.
